This is an initiative from the Ministry of Education, Government of India to enable academic flexibility and students’ mobility across multiple Higher Education Institutes (HEIs). The University Grants Commission (UGC) has mandated that every learner who is an Indian national needs to submit the following details for creating their ABC account:

- Aadhar number (12 digits)
- Name (as mentioned in Aadhaar)
